PLEASE READ - PLEASE LIKE - PLEASE SHARE!!! Well, Vegas....its been real..... It’s been a such a fun six months of getting into our bikes and becoming obsessed, we hadn’t realized in the process all of the benefits of riding the things around every day. Of course there’s the health aspects that come along with doing anything physical over and over again on a regular basis, but so many other things have been affected more than just how it changes your body. Mentally, you’re trained to focus on what you’re doing in the moment and completing the task at hand which is usually survival so that you can get to your destination. Socially, you become part of a not-so-secret-but-secret club that’s made up of people all over the world. Anywhere you go, you notice bicycles and other riders. You can relate to just about anyone else that rides in some way shape or form, and have more conversations about riding than you ever thought you would. You notice others, and they notice you. Emotionally, you have an escape from the daily stresses that we all encounter. Start pedaling and things just tend to melt away, next thing you know you’re feeling refreshed with a new sense of clarity. These are part of just a short list of things we’ve experienced, and now we’re ready to spread the word and embrace riders and non-riders alike. Enter, The Campaign Trail: Ride for Peace and Education. Multiple cities, riding along the way and getting to know riders all around the country. Sharing dialogue about how we can better understand each other, how to use bicycling as a vehicle for exposure and strengthening the sense of community, and showing that anyone can ride and have an appreciation for putting feet to pedals. We’ll be aiming to ride somewhere between 500-1000 miles each, and driving our mobile bike shop/design center (the blue van) as we make our way across the country. Our project is going to be conducted over 30-40 days through 12 stages and 4000+ miles up for grabs. Stage 1: Las Vegas - Oakland/San Fran Stage 2: Oakland, CA - Portland, OR Stage 3: Portland, OR - Seattle, WA Stage 4: Seattle , WA - Denver, CO Stage 5: Denver, CO - Kansas City, MO Stage 6: Kansas City, MO - Ferguson, MO Stage 7: Ferguson, MO - Indianapolis, IN Stage 8: Indianapolis, IN - NYC Stage 9: NYC - Philadelphia, PA Stage 10: Philadelphia, PA - Washington DC Stage 11: Washington DC - Richmond, VA Stage 12: Virginia - Miami, FL We’re just two guys that love our bikes and the change in lifestyle that’s come with it, and want others to share in feeing good about themselves in the same ways. This blog is the flip-flop hub for how well prepare for the journey, our experiences in each city and along the way, and of course how it will inevitably change our lives. It’s a hefty dream starting in Las Vegas and ending in Miami, but we’ll be coming to a city near you and hope to see you when we do stop by! MORE INFORMATION AND DONATIONS BELOW, PLEASE SUPPORT!!! (anything helps, please read and spread the word....thats the most valuable part!) gofund.me/peace-and-education-ride
