PLEASE REPOST! HELP SPREAD THE WORD AND HELP FIND MY GEAR! On Tues 9/24/13, between 11am - 430pm, my Iowa City, IA home was broken into and the following NINE (9) instruments and musical items were stolen. A police report (INC # 2013010902) is on file with the Iowa City Police Department. Please KEEP AN EYE OUT, SPREAD THE WORD, REPOST, ETC., & CONTACT ME if you hear, see, or smell anything related to my gear. Thanks for any and all help. THERE IS A REWARD FOR THE SAFE RETURN OF MY GEAR. ----------- 1) late 1960s Univox Hi-Flyer BASS, white-- Late 1960s UNIVOX Hi-Flyer BASS guitar, WHITE, w/ WHITE pickguard and WHITE leather strap permanently attached w/ WHITE duct tape. Short scale. Outfitted with two (2) SILVER Gibson Angus Young Signature GUITAR pickups (ie: they have SIX poles each, not four). Missing original bridge cover. Wood has been exposed in a few places on the body through natural wear on the finish. The volume and tone KNOBS have both been removed, and both volume and tone POTS have been placed underneath the pickguard (still hooked up). The (two) holes in the pickguard (in line with the switch and jack) have been covered with a single piece of WHITE duct tape. Bass is in a BLACK, On-Stage Stands brand polyfoam guitar case. Case has been partially redone INSIDE with PURPLE duct tape, and also contains a round clip-on tuner, a capo, a BLACK guitar cable with yellow ends (ends are straight and ‘L’ as pictured above), a second ¼” instrument cable, and a number of picks (brand unmarked, in orange, green, purple, and yellow). 2) late 1960s Univox hollowbody BASS, sunburst-- Late 1960s Univox hollowbody BASS guitar, ES-335 copy, SUNBURST. Fret marker dots are OFFSET. Back is full and unscathed. D’armond (aka Dearmond) diamond pickup in NECK position with custom ROSEWOOD spacer (half the height of standard spacer) underneath. Two identical custom spacers (with receipt), ORIGINAL rosewood spacer, and extra STRINGS are also in case. Pickguard and tremolo pivot have both been REMOVED. Fingernail-size nick on front of BASS. Tailpiece is wooden with metal diamond shape in middle. FLAT BLACK leather guitar strap is permanently affixed to BASS with BLACK duct tape. Case is a form-fitting, BLACK, HARDSHELL, EPIPHONE case with silver-grey lining. 3) vintage 1950s-60s(?)
