PLEASE SHARE! HELP TO SAVE MARINAS LIFE! Marina Zelenyuk is 28. She is from Lugansk, Ukraine. Marina has a severe kidney insufficiency and needs a donor kidney transplant. This operation is her only chance to survive. She has been on dialysis for over 8 years; the doctors say that without a new kidney she has one more year to live, in the best case. According to Ukrainian laws, this operation is not possible in Marina’s home country. Only relatives can donate organs, and Marina’s parents are not matching as donors. Therefore she must go to Minsk (Belarus) – where she has been in the waiting list for donor kidney since 2011. But before she gets one, she must pay the complete cost for the surgery in advance. For the last 3 years, she is saving money and fundraising with help of her friends and family. Now, she has the half, but she does not have further 3 years. On October 1, the amount left to raise is $17 720 (the fee for money transfer is not included). Marina had to leave her home town this summer. Now she lives as refugee in Kharkiv, Ukrain. She needs a lot of medications for her dialysis every day. It is getting difficult to get them. The budget of the clinics has been cut, the bureaucracy is hard to surmount. Marina is a tough person, but now, after she is away from home, her strength is starting to decline. This strength has been holding her for the last 8 years. And her biggest wish is just simple life – get out of the bed, work, family, children. This is all possible; she is only 18 thousand dollars short to pay for this dream. This project aims to collect in the first stage EUR 2500 for Marina. Marina’s friends in Ukraine and all over the world, start further fundraising campaigns.
