Despite little or no documentary evidence to suggest that Hamas uses children and civilians as human shields and the many documented accounts, both from Israeli academics, foreign journalists and people on the ground that Israel employs disproportionate force the Guardian has chosen to run the ad from a man who is neither there, nor an eyewitness, nor is he clearly in favour of a ceasefire which every humanitarian organisation on the planet concedes is the priority here and which this ad attempts to derail.
