POLICE BLOTTER CREDIT CARD FRAUD: (Holiday Village East): SCAM A resident of the 1800 block of Staghorn Drive reported a credit card fraud. A male caller representing an unspecified sweepstakes informed the resident they had won $1.5 million. The caller then requested credit card and account information. No financial loss was reported. The incident occurred approximately two weeks prior to January 24. ARREST, PARCEL THEFTS: (Le Club Condominiums) Subsequent to investigation, Mount Laurel Police arrested Jay F. Carroll Jr., age 36, of the 300 block of Inverness Court, and Jamie L. Gangemi, age 34, of the 100 block of Arden Court, on January 25 for the theft of several parcels from residents of the Le Club Condominiums. The thefts occurred between September and December 2013. Carroll was lodged at the Burlington County Jail in lieu of $22,500.00 bail. Gangemi was lodged at the Burlington County Jail CWRC facility in lieu of $10,000.00 bail. Officer D. DePinto was the investigating and arresting officer. ARREST (SHOPLIFTING): Mount Laurel Police arrested Mahmoud Jaaa, age 30, of the 4300 block of Richmond Street, Philadelphia, on January 26 for shoplifting over $300.00 in merchandise from the Wegmans on Centerton Road. He was served with criminal complaints and released pending a municipal court hearing. Officer M. Cresong was the arresting officer. FRAUD: A resident of the unit block of Woodlark Drive reported a credit card fraud. Fraudulent purchases, in the amount of $1,120.00, were made at various locations in Michigan. The transactions occurred during an unspecified period of time prior to January 26. ARREST (FRAUD): Mount Laurel Police arrested Michael P. Cahill, age 34, of the 300 block of Jonathon Lane, Marlton, on January 26 for fraud. Cahill is charged with leaving the bar at Miller’s Ale House on Fellowship Road without paying for services rendered in the amount of $30.16. He was served with criminal and local ordinance complaints and released pending a municipal court hearing. Officer G. Tantum was the arresting officer. IDENTITY THEFT: A resident of the 200 block of Elbo Lane reported an identity theft. A Dish Network account was opened fraudulently using the victim’s personal information. The incident occurred between an unspecified time and date prior to January 27. ARREST (SHOPLIFTING): Mount Laurel Police arrested Michael P. Waldman, age 29, of the unit block of Sheffield Lane Mount Laurel NJ on January 27 for shoplifting $477.96 in merchandise from the Target on Centerton Road. A search incident to arrest yielded he was also in possession of drug paraphernalia. Waldman was lodged at the Burlington County Jail in lieu of $2,500.00 bail. Officer M. Cresong was the arresting officer. ARREST (PROSTITUTION): Mount Laurel Police arrested Jennifer L. Cannizzo, age 22, of Las Vegas, NV, on January 29 for Prostitution. She was arrested at a hotel on Route 73 at 2:30 PM after soliciting an undercover officer. Cannizzo was charged with Prostitution and Possession of CDS and released on a summons. ARREST (PROSTITUTION): Mount Laurel Police arrested Allison Heckler, age 18, of the 300 block of Franks lane Egg Harbor Twp NJ, on January 30 for Prostitution. She was arrested at a hotel on Route 73 at 4:38 PM after soliciting an undercover officer. Heckler was charged with Prostitution and released on a summons. ARREST (SHOPLIFTING): Mount Laurel Police arrested Shaun Segalla, age 55, of the 300 block of Roberts Avenue, Glenside, PA, on January 30 for shoplifting $104.97 in merchandise from the TJ MAXX on Centerton Road. She was served with criminal complaints and released pending a municipal court hearing. Officer M Cresong was the arresting officer. THEFT: A member of LA Fitness on Dearborn Circle reported a theft. Sweatpants, a wallet and contents, and an iPhone valued at $335.00, were taken from the basketball court area. Approximately $900.00 in fraudulent purchases were also made at local establishments following the theft using the stolen credit cards. The incident occurred sometime between 8:15 PM and 8:55 PM, January 29.
