POLICE REPORT SURIGAO DEL NORTE: APPREHENSION OF SUSPECTED THIEF (Surigao City, SDN) – Employees of Avon Cosmetics located at Gemina Street, Brgy. Washington, Surigao City accosted male suspect for the crime of THEFT that transpired at around 11:45 AM of July 12, 2014 at aforesaid establishment. Element of Surigao City Police Station led by PINSP TESSIEL MOLETA/PCR Officer responded the said incident, suspect was already in the custody of security guard on duty. Investigation revealed that the suspect was caught in the act surreptitiously took assorted women’s underwear (bra’s) worth more or less P6,899.00 inserted on his short pant. Witness named Kim Jay Alipoyo Espina, 18 years old, single, merchandiser of Avon Cosmetics immediately informed the security guard to bodily search the suspect. When the suspect was about to go outside and security guard conducted bodily search, suspect hurriedly went inside and deliberately threw his stolen items on the floor which resulted to his immediate apprehension. Suspect identified as JOHNNY NAVARRO CESAR, 28 years old, single, jobless and a resident of Libertad, Butuan City. Based on the CCTV installed from the said establishment, there were two (2) male and two (2) female thieves aside from the apprehended suspect, who pretended as customers. Two of them utilize as a cover to avoid being caught by the saleslady/men. One of them was confirmed through CCTV camera successfully went outside bringing assorted stolen items inside his pants without being detected by the security guard who manned the main door. An inquest filing of case is now readied against the apprehended suspect (detained) to include his four (4) companions (at large). APPREHENSION OF WANTED PERSON (Surigao City, SDN) – At about 2:30 PM of July 10, 2014, in P-4, Brgy. Rosita, Libjo, Dinagat Island, a joint police operation led by PCINSP NAPOLEON P. DUQUES, Provincial Chief, SDNCIDT and personnel from Subpoena and Warrant Section of Surigao City Police Station apprehended ROGER DOMINGUEZ MANLAPAO, 38 years old, married, farmer and a resident of P-2, Brgy. Rosita, Libjo, Dinagat Island, by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for a crime of Incestuous Rape, under Criminal Case Number 10472 issued by Hon. Dan R. Calderon, Acting Presiding Judge, RTC Branch 32, Surigao City dated May 19, 2014 with no bail bond recommended. Arrested person is listed No. 9 of most wanted person in Surigao City Police Station. Subject person is now under the custody of SDNCIDT detention cell located at Parruchu Street, Brgy. Washington, Surigao City. NON-FATAL STABBING INCIDENT (Surigao City, SDN) – At about 8:00 Pm of July 12, 2014, a call received by the duty desk officer from Caraga Regional Hospital informing that there was male victim of stabbing incident landed thereat. Elements of SCPS immediately proceeded to the aforesaid hospital. Victim identified as JOEL BACOLOD FERNANDEZ, 41 years old, married, Chief CVO/tricycle driver and a resident of P-ilang-ilang, Brgy. Luna, Surigao City perpetrated by DONELCYN AQUINO CALBA, a.k.a. “LOLOY”, of legal age, married, tricycle driver and a resident of KM-9, Surigao City. Initial investigation conducted shows that around 7:30 PM of July 12, 2014 while the victim was driving his tricycle inside the Surigao and Jeepney Terminal premises, Brgy. Luna, Surigao City upon reaching the exit of the said place, the said suspect hailed and without apparent reason and sufficient provocation stabbed the victim but he was able to defend himself by the use of his bare hands which hit on his right hand. Suspect continuously stabbed the victim but he was able to liberate himself from the series of treacherous attack. After the commission of an offense, suspect fled to unknown direction while the victim rushed to the aforesaid hospital for immediate medication however pronounced out of danger and preferred to be out patient by the attending physician. SCPS is now conducting hot pursuit operation to the fleeing suspects. ROBBERY INCIDENT (Claver, SDN) – At about 11:55 AM of July 12, 2014, a robbery hold-up incident transpired in Purok 1, Brgy. Taganito Claver, Surigao del Norte victimizing ANDY BRYAN PAJE GALGO, 14 years old, attendant of Blesilyn Galgo Store owned by Blesilyn Paje Galgo, 33 years old, married, a resident of Brgy. Tayaga, Claver, SDN. Initial investigation conducted disclosed that one (1) unidentified suspect wearing bonnet entered the premises of said store and threatened the victim using a revolver. The hands and feet of the victim were tied and his head was covered with sack. The suspect took the cash money amounting to Four Thousand Pesos (Php 4, 000.00) including the Samsung Galaxy tablet worth Two Thousand Five Hundred Pesos (Php 2, 500.00) and Cherry mobile phone worth Nine Hundred Pesos (Php 900.00). Follow investigation/operation is ongoing. APPREHENSION OF SUSPECT FOR ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF FIREARM (Surigao City, SDN) – At about 4:30 PM of July 13, 2014, in the vicinity of Km. 6 National Highway Brgy. Luna, Surigao City, personnel of Surigao City Police Station led by PSINSP JOEL VELASQUEZ LIONG arrested JOEL PATOSA BALDASOTES a.k.a. “Dodong Mama”, Filipino, male, 36 years old, married, fisherman and a resident of Purok 1 Brgy. Alambique, Gigaquit, Surigao del Norte. Confiscated from his possession One Colt MK IV Series 80 caliber .45 pistol bearing serial number 020802 loaded with one live ammo for Cal. 45 and three live ammo of same caliber inserted inside the magazine loaded in the said pistol. Investigation conducted revealed that prior to the arrest, suspect and his companion riding a motorcycle black/white combination Honda XRM without Plate Number identified as FREDDIE MONTENEGRO SUAREZ (driver), Filipino, male, 28 years old, single, jobless and a resident in Purok 03 Brgy. Alambique, Gigaquit, Surigao del Norte were at the mentioned place of arrest as they were held by the personnel of Surigao City Police Station who are conducting checkpoint in the implementation of “No Plate No Travel Policy.” When approached and requested to present pertinent papers of the motorcycle, found out that the driver driving without license and no worn helmet, suspect concealing firearm tucked on his waistline and admitted to have carried the said firearm but failed to present valid papers for proof of ownership and authority to carry such item which led to his arrest. Suspect was brought to Surigao City Police Station together with his companion for further investigation and documentation. Appropriate case is now being prepared for filing in court. Lahi, Gigaquit, Surigao del Norte by virtue of Alias Warrant of Arrest for a crime of MURDER under Criminal Case Number 10450 issued by Hon. Judge Victor A. Canoy of RTC 10th Judicial Branch 29, Surigao City dated April 28, 2014 with no bail bond recommended. Arrested person is listed top No. 3 of top most wanted persons of Gigaquit MPS. Subject is no under the custody of Claver Municipal Police Station for proper disposition.
