POOR LITTLE HONEY. Little Honey Junior is getting hazed by the doe herd, and no mistake. Shes being head butted, brutally, in the side, by everyone, including sweet Gwyn. Gwyn seems delighted to FINALLY have someone to bully, rather than being low goat on the totem pole, as she has been since the day she arrived here, a year ago. She should know better. Honey is a surprisingly-intrepid little thing; she can stick her head into the feed bowl fray with the biggest and strongest of them. But I still worry. Its my job. I feed Honey separately, so she gets the grain ration a little girl needs, but I know there is little I can do about the political climate; theyre going to need to work it out. Its better today, but still bad at grain time. In the three pics below, there is a brief story of Honeys ingenuity this afternoon. 1. Honey and Sissy feed together amicably, for about two and a half seconds. 2. A photo missing because I stupidly deleted it for blurriness: Sissy savagely head butting Honey in the side, knocking her to the left, away from the feed. 3. Honey returns, undaunted, and discovers a cubbyhole, perfect for her but too small for Sissy, behind which she can still eat, and which serves as a sturdy barricade. 4. Lunch resumes for Honey.
