POWER OF ISTIGFÃR! NEVER DO WITHOUT IT!!! A man once came to al-Hasan al-Basri and complained to him: “The sky does not shower us with rain.” He replied: “Seek Allah’s forgiveness (i.e. say أستغفر الله).” Then another person came to him and said, “I complain of poverty.” He replied: “Seek Allah’s forgiveness. Then another person came to him and complained, “My wife is barren; she cannot bear children.” He replied: “Seek Allah’s forgiveness. The people who were present, said to al-Hasan: “Everytime a person came to you complaining, you instructed them to seek Allah’s forgiveness?” Al-Hasan al-Basri said, “Have you not read the statement of Allah? I said Ask forgiveness of your Lord. Truly He is Oft-Forgiving. He will send rain to you in abundance; increase you in wealth and children; grant you gardens and bestow on you rivers. [Nuh (71):10-12] There are two things in the earth that give a person safety and security from the punishment of Allah. The first has been removed, while the second still remains. As for the first, it was the Messenger of Allah (صلی الله عليه و سلم). “Allah would not punish them while you were among them.” [al-Anfal (8):33] As for the second, it is istigfar. “Allah would not punish them as long as they sought forgiveness.” [al-Anfal (8):33] أستغفر ألله... أستغفر ألله... أستغفر ألله... Do not ever leave istigfâr! Please forward and remember that you will receive the reward for all those who make istigfãr, due to your reminder. ANGRY MOMS DUÃ MADE ME IMÃM OF HARAM Shaykh Al-Kalbaani, former Imaam of the Kabah, at a conference in London was telling us this story: When he was young, he was a very naughty boy. He would make his mother angry. But his mother, Allah bless her, was a very righteous woman and she knew the power of Duã. She made it her habit that, in her anger at him, she would say this Duã: May Allah guide YOU! And make you the IMÃM of the Kabah! Imãm Al-Kalbani told us, so Allah answered her duã and I went on to become the Imãm of the Kabah! Allahu Akbar! Shaykh Adil Kalbani is black, and the son of a poor immigrant from the Persian Gulf. In an interview with NYTimes, Shaykh Kalbani said, Leading prayers at the Grand Mosque is an extraordinary honor, usually reserved for pure-blooded Arabs from the Saudi heartland. He was taken aback when he came to know that King Abdullah had chosen him as the first black Imãm of Masjid al-Haram (in recent times), he added. Mãshã Allah! 1) Dont curse your children when they misbehave..it might backfire! I know of someone who told her son to go die, & regretted it later when he passed away the same day. Subhãnallah! 2) Watch your words dear parents. Make it a habit to utter good duãs for them...Yup, even when youre angry with them!! The Messenger of Allah (sollallahu alayhi wasallam) said, Three supplications will not be rejected (by Allah Subhãnau wa Taãla), the supplication of the parent for his child, the supplication of the one who is fasting, and the supplication of the traveler. [al-Bayhaqi, Tirmidhi - Saheeh]. I ask Allah to increase His blessings to the one who forwards this message to others. Oh Allah, make it beneficial for his or her Intercession on the Day of Judgement
