PRAYER OF THANKSGIVING By Tom Browne I thank you today Jesus because your love is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost. In your presence is fullness of joy. When I think of all your goodness, grace, and mercy in my life, my heart becomes glad. You have promised us the abundant life and I am experiencing the abundance of your grace. I thank you for not allowing me to be consumed by the lust and pride that is in the world. Your hand of mercy has plucked me from the hand of the devourer. Now I rest in your everlasting hands of mercy, because you are my Savior. Though the devil walks about as a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour, I shall not fear, for your word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path. I have seen many of my friends go down the wide path of worldly pleasures only to be greatly disappointed in the end. Thank you for keeping me in my time of trial. The enemy desired to sift me like wheat, yet your love interceded for me and now I live. I appreciate the desire to be of one mind and one accord with the body of Christ, that we may be used as a vessel to reach the multitudes that are drowning in sin. We may now fight the good fight of faith, knowing that we are more than conquerors through your name. In weakness your strength is perfected so I shall continue to rejoice in times of tribulation, distress, persecution, famine, and peril. For when I am weak you are strong on my behalf. Thank you for carrying me when I was too weak to walk by faith. If it had not been for your love I would have been overwhelmed by the flood of the enemy. I have much to be thankful for, so I shall lift my voice and tell the people of your faithfulness and greatness. * PRAYER INSIGHT By Don Grigsby The love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost. Our faith works by this same love as a fruit and gift of the Spirit. I John 2:15 tells us that if a man loves this world or system that the love of the Father is not in him. 2 Corinthians 5:14 establishes that the love of God constrains us, or is the ruling authority in our lives. Loving God and his word makes every command not grievous. Gods love will not only embrace us but enforce Gods laws in our live.
