PRAYER POINTS: The Crisis: Pray that the violence stops Pray for families who have fled and have no home Give thanks for the people who are helping refugees Pray for enough food, water and medicine Pray for the protection of the vulnerable Pray for those who have been attacked Pray for those who have lost friends, family and loved ones Pray for strength and safety and the return of those who have been taken by ISIS Leaders: Pray for ISIS - we pray for those who persecute us Pray ISIS will have their eyes opened by God to their actions and to the gospel Pray for Iraqi and Syrian government, for wisdom and strength Pray for international community, for wisdom in how to respond to this crisis Pray church leaders will comfort, strengthen and lead people in love, not hate The Church: Pray for the preservation of the Church Pray Christians will unite and pray for the future of Iraq Give thanks for the support they are receiving Praise God for the opportunity the Church has to show love to those suffering Give Iraqi Christians strength to keep their faith Pray for those working in the country for protection and coordination in the relief work PRAYER: Our Father who is in Heaven, You alone are Holy. Father let Your Kingdom come and Your will be done here on earth as it is in Heaven. Father today we lift up our brothers and sisters in Iraq and Syria. We ask that You will stop the the violence being done to these people. Father we ask that You deliver them from this evil. Father we ask that You will bring comfort and peace and joy. We ask that You strengthen Your people, that You would give them hope. We ask for wisdom for the world leaders who are considering how to respond. Father we ask that You would change the hearts of those doing evil. Bring them to repentance so they may be forgiven. We ask for peace across the Middle East. Father we thank You for those who have been rescued. Father we thank You for all the people on the ground that are providing food, water and other aid. Please provide them with everything they need to do their work. Father we thank You for all Your people praying around the world, we ask that You would direct our prayers today and every day. And finally Father we thank You for Your promise that this life is but a whisper. That every tear will be wiped away, that there will be an end to suffering. Father we praise Your Holy name.
