PRAYERS THAT GOD LISTENS TO: Thinking about all manners of prayers that are offered to God these days, I was curious to go back a little into the days when God was very quick to listen and answer immediately. That same God had not changed, but uncountable times, we the mere work of His hands have changed, thinking that we can change God in order to effect a change in our lives. In case you are one of those who desire to change God. He is the Unchangeable God Now, back to the prayers of Manoah, which he prayed in Judges 13:8 ......“O my Lord, please let the Man of God whom You sent come to us again and teach us what we shall do (The story of Manoah and his barren wife, I assume many of you might know) Instead of inviting God to come and teach us what we shall do in any situation or circumstance of our lives like Manoah did, we act the Boss and impose the content of our wicked hearts upon the unchangeable God, while we wait endlessly for the answers that will never come. The attitude of Get her for me, for she pleases me well as Samson put up in Judges 14:3b is still very rampant in every spheres of our lives today, the reason why God is not listening, not to talk of answering. If we indeed expect a change, we must learn to always invite the unchangeable God, to effect His change in our lives, both secular and spiritual. No wonder the Bible says; And God listened to the voice of Manoah ........-Judges 13:9, because he humbly invited Him. How long ago has the Lord stopped listening to your voice?. Let God be wise and all of us be fools, lets stop telling Him what to do in order to meet our selfish human expectations. Let Him be invited into your situations today, and He will start listening and answering your prayers.
