PRESS NOTE DODA April 14: Addressing election meeting at Assar in Doda District, senior party leader and Secretary Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee, Hira Lal Abrol said that the Coalition Government has ushered an era of peace, progress and development in the State. He emphasized that the Congress Party has always projected and safeguarded the interests of the State and its people without caring for political gains. Abrol said that the nation needs a stable government which only Congress can give and called upon the people to vote for coalition candidates for making the Jammu and Kashmir a modal State of the country. He said that liberal funding by Central Government also helped State’s progress by leaps and bounds. Abrol said that under present regime, the State is moving fast towards development and added that Coalition Government always put main thrust on development of rural areas. He said that empowering Panchayats, creating new administrative units, setting up polytechnic colleges, developing mega infrastructure, connecting rural roads, developing cities at par with other cities of the nation by the implementation of flagship programmes like JNNURM, MNREGA, SSA and NRHM has bring the State on road of progress and prosperity.
