PRESS RELEASE GOVERNOR HASSAN JOHO IN WASHINGTON DC FOR ECONOMIC CONNECTION Mombasa County 26.09.2014…….Governor Hassan Joho has led a county team to the 44th Annual Legislative Conference in Washington DC at the invitation of the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation. The Governor will present a paper on investment opportunities in the county in the areas of health, energy, water, manufacturing in a projected free trade zone and technology at the Walter E Washington Convention Center. The conference will bring together business, industry leaders, lawmakers and other professionals from the United States of America to explore solutions to the challenges that plague the African American and African community—from poverty and unemployment to quality education. One of the key speakers will be Ambassador Johnnie Carson - Former U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs “We will be meeting our African American brothers to explore various prospects for them to invest back in their mother land. This is an opportunity for Mombasa to reconnect not only culturally but also economically. We endeavor to learn from the exciting and educative presentations organized at the conference”.
