PRESS RELEASE Police Regional Office 11 Regional Public Information Office 11 February 3, 2014 Central 911’s new equipment to empower Region’s Cop The Public Safety and Security Command Center through its Central 911 is eyeing to empower Police Officers of Region 11 with new equipment in responding to large scale protests, natural disasters and acts of terrorism. Nelson M Vallejo, Chief Training and System Development of Central 911 said during his speech as Guest of Honor and Speaker during the Monday Flag Raising Ceremony of Police Regional Office(PRO) 11 last Monday(February 3, 2014), said that he represented Davao City PSSCC on behalf of Emmanuel Jaldon, Chief Operating Officer of Central 911. He said that the Central 911 wanted to develop the inter-operability of their personnel with the police in providing new equipments for disaster response, tactical combat casualty care and tactical field operation. He added that their agency is fortunate that the City Government has been constantly providing them new tools that made their job easier and efficient. “High definition cameras with capabilities of data analytics and facial recognition for suspect’s pursuit, fiber glass water crafts, rubber boats, diving equipment, amphibious vehicles for flood incidents, brand new 4x4 communication vehicles for faster resumption of communication, new fire truck tankers, 14 new ambulance equipped with basic and advance trauma life support units, and a Medical Ambulance Bus that caters 20 patient in a single incident” Vallejo cited some of their new equipments saying that the new equipments will benefit both the police and medical rescuers. Vallejo said that these advance system of technological response will pave the way for a more effective public safety with PRO 11 in its active partnership in mounting several training together with their rescuers. “The City’s effort in providing assistance to our communities in providing relief service, medical, fire, k9, rescue service and police assistance will not be a success without the help of PRO 11.” Vallejo said. # # # #
