PRESS RELEASE =========== Wednesday 03rd July 2013 ALL EYES ON LUBULWA AS THE NILE SPECIAL NATIONA OPEN POOL CHAMPIONSHIP 2013 - THE PAU AT 10 YEARS EDITION - HEADS TO NAKWA REGION Friday 05th July 2013 Rock Catalina -Ntinda Red Carpet -Kinawataka Saturday 06th July 2013 Pride Pub -Bweyogerere Chez Moi -Kamwokya Victoria Pub -Kireka The Nile Special National Open Pool Champion 2013 “The Champion of the Cue” heads to Nakawa region this weekend and inevitably all eyes will be on Simon Lubulwa, who has dominated Rock Catalina for the past two years. Christened “Computer” by his army of adoring fans, Lubulwa has maintained an iron grip on one of the most competitive playing centers. “He is a very good player and has maintained his form,” said the Pool Association publicist Michael Mawanda. “He will certainly be one to look out for over the weekend. However, Ntinda has a lot of good players such as Nathan Bwankosha, Wisely Wasswa among others. We definitely expect competition to be stiff.” Rogers Musinguzi, the defeated finalist last year, is one of the major contenders to dethrone Lubulwa and he has vowed to go a step better than last year. “I am ready to face any player that comes my way. I know Computer is good at attacking but my experience and determination will see me through this qualifier to the National Championship grand finale,” says Musinguzi a.k.a Panda. Besides the competition, Lubulwa may be without his huge fan base, which has massively contributed to his success in the past. This is because the player made the switch from Rock Catalina Pool Club to Game City. Therefore, playing center fans may prefer to support their own unless Lubulwa mobilizes his Game City fans to raid Rock Catalina. Elsewhere, Michael Kanakulya, the owner of Capital Night Pool Club and Ronald Okello of Big-Spenders Pool Club will be the players to watch at Chez Moi while Jonah Kabugo, Siraje Kasirye, Stone Serugo and Chris Akena are expected to be the major contenders at Pride Pub. __ For further information or clarification please contact: Michael Mawanda | PAU Publicity Secretary | 0703005051| [email protected] Eden Kironde | 0756200197 | [email protected]
