PRESS STATEMENT BY UKAMBANI LEADERS ON A PLOT TO WEAKEN OUR LEADER HON. KALONZO MUSYOKA We, the leaders of Ukambani region wish to inform Kenyans that we believe there is a calculated plan by Senator Johnstone Muthama to weaken and destroy our leader H.E. Kalonzo Musyoka. We are highly concerned because Hon. Kalonzo Musyoka is our key leader of Ukambani region. Senator Johnstone Muthama, we believe, is carrying out a plan to destroy Hon. Kalonzo Musyoka by attacking and attempting to finish politically everybody who is Hon. Kalonzo’s pillar. Basically, all Kamba leaders close to Hon. Kalonzo are under attack by Muthama. For example; (a) Hon. Dr. Victor Munyaka who was very close to Hon. Kalonzo does not see eye to eye with our leader because of Hon. Muthama. (b) Hon. Mwangangi used to be the Chief Wiper Ambassador and Hon. Kalonzo’s Chief agent, but today does not get along with Hon. Kalonzo because of Hon. Muthama. (c) Hon. Dr. Susan Musyoka, Machakos County Women Representative, Hon. Eng. Vincent Musyoka of Mwala, Hon. Itwiku Mbai, of Masinga, Hon. Patrick Makau of Mavoko, Hon. Robert Mbui of Kathiani, Hon. Katatha Kyengo of Kangundo, Hon. Charles Nyamai of Kitui Rural, Hon. Joe Mutambo of Mwingi, Hon. Kisoi Munyao of Mbooni and many many other Ukambani region leaders are systematically being attacked and weakened by Hon. Muthama’s machinations because they are Kalonzo’s pillars. One of the great and active supporters of Hon. Kalonzo Musyoka is Machakos Governor Dr. Alfred Mutua. Senator Muthama has launched a campaign to weaken and sabotage Dr. Mutua’s Government by constantly attacking and sabotaging him. He has been going to court, organising demonstrations and peddling lies so as to discredit Dr. Alfred Mutua. The only reason Governor Mutua is under attacks is because he is implementing Hon. Kalonzo’s manifesto and is a key pillar of Hon. Kalonzo. When people are asked to demonstrate or carry out machinations against Dr. Mutua, it is not Mutua who is the target but Hon. Kalonzo Musyoka. We wonder why Senator Muthama is so keen to finish Hon. Kalonzo Musyoka’s leadership strength. We believe Senator Muthama is a sheep in wolves clothing and wonder what agenda he has against the Kamba Community. Currently, Hon. Senator Muthama is not working closely with any elected Member of Parliament or County Assembly in our region. He is a thorn in the flesh to all. We, as leaders of the region, have decided, we will not sit and wait as our leader that we love and believe in, Hon. Kalonzo Musyoka, is left politically orphaned-alone and naked, by Senator Johnstone Muthama. We will stand by Hon. Kalonzo and from today start an initiative to enlighten Wananchi and to carry out a necessary legal and political program. This is a time for change, unity and development and not empty politics.
