PRICE REMARKS OF WEEK 37 2013 New York Cotton Futures prices eased on Friday under pressure from falling commodities markets and weak US retail sales, though they saw their first weekly gain in four weeks as a dip to three-month lows renewed demand. India could impose a 10 percent duty on cotton exports as early as Thursday aiming to boost overseas sales of value-added textiles to take advantage of a weak rupee and reduce the current account deficit, government sources and industry officials said. In Pakistan, rising trend persisted on the cotton market as mills and spinners showed fresh interest in purchasing.
