PROJECT SUMMARY "ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION" Background Following a survey by the Association FESAD under the protection and management of the environment for sustainable development, the association was able to detect an increased environmental education stratum especially youth lack this locality. This causes enormous problems of social and health risks and current environmental: degradation, pollution, unsafe in our communities, floods, etc.. environments in which we live. At the end of the investigation it was given that despite all these efforts to raise awareness of associations and NGOs on environmental protection, the population still has this habit of throwing waste (plastics, appliances, household) everywhere in the streets and in their environment. So for this new form of youth to not adopt these non-responsible behavior, it is imperative starting with the base to give the means to motivate and raise awareness so that they can be engaged in the protection and in the management of the environment. In doing so it could serve as models for the future. In line with the objectives of the Association, the DRAFT ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION mainly aims at providing a sustainable solution to this situation by creating favorable conditions for training, education and awareness of youth through educational promoting a particular the basis for the protection and management of the environment to enable them to become aware of the impacts related to environmental risks for a healthy environment and a healthier and have a more visible impact. This is the objective of the Association. Project Objectives General Purpose In this context, this project addresses the issues involved in environmental education, particularly students, the technical services of the central administration and the decentralized sectors and non-governmental organizations in the environmental sector. Its purpose is to build capacity and train young students on the issues of environmental degradation and climate change causing them to change their attitudes and adopt a purposeful behavior. The specific objective of the project is to help promote the participation of all through an education foundation for the protection and management of the environment in the locality Bè-kpota. Project Description The project aims to train, educate children of primary school on the issues of the environment. These children are the basis, then the basic education is essential. Without it all specialized activities can not be fully effective. Therefore through this project we believe this target segment of the population to reach the secondary layer tertiary see. We believe it will help us a lot to reach families through their children because children quickly learn their parent, their families what they receive, and they always share with others. The base is the beginning of all things and therefore this is the essential point that this project aims to address to achieve its objectives. We will work with primary schools in collaboration with partners specialized in this field. We also have to train peer educators in these institutions. The project also provides a forum to the end. Impacts of the project The project will contribute to local development, economic and social development of the target community by limiting the increase in poverty would induce climate change and strengthening the resilience of local communities to climate hazards. The project will also contribute to the preservation of the national environment, adaptation to climate change constitutes a major focus of the Convention on Climate Change.
