PROPHECY OF DANIEL CONFIRMED BY THE LORD JESUS CHRIST Q: What prophecy in Daniel did Jesus Christ confirmed is true? A: The prophecy in Daniel that Christ confirmed is regarding His second coming. This is what He said in the gospel of Matthew, “When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth let him understand :).” Matt. 24:15. Q: Why did the Lord uttered this? A: He uttered these words because His disciples asked Him three questions in verse 3 concerning His second coming: 1. When shall these things be? (Refers to the destruction of Jerusalem). 2. What shall be the sign of thy coming? 3. When shall be end of the world? The first question has been fulfilled already in 70 AD during the destruction of Jerusalem. The second and third questions are still to be fulfilled. Q: What did Daniel prophesied concerning the second coming of Christ and the signs involved? A: In chapter 7, the Lord revealed to Daniel the prophecy regarding the beginning of the papal supremacy (4th kingdom), what would she do, and until when will be her dominion, or the first part of the time prophecy (1260 years) in verse 25, until wounded to death (538 AD -1798). (Rev. 13:3). In chapter 8, it was revealed by God to Daniel the start of the papacy and the last part of its time prophecy (in verse 9; Rev. 17:8-11); how the ram (papacy) was defeated by the he goat (Protestantism during the reformation v. 3-7). In verses 13, 14 is also a time prophecy when God’s church would start in 1844. The prophecy 2,300 years start in 457 BC until 1844. Q: What is the prophecy in Daniel 9? A: Daniel 9 tells the prophecy concerning the first coming of our Lord Jesus Christ which started from the time when the commandment came to restore and to build Jerusalem until the time Christ was crucified and then the rejection of the ancient Israel as God’s people. This is also the beginning of the 2,300 days prophecy until the establishment of God’s remnant church, the SDA, in 1844. Q: What does the prophecy of Daniel 10 tell us about? A: Chapter 10 tells us about the prophecy of Christ’s second coming in the last part of 2015 or in 2016. Angel Gabriel came to give understanding of the beginning of the 21 years prophecy from the start of the harvest since 1994 (see verse 13). At Gabriel’s return, his battle would not only be against Persia (papacy), but also Greece (Protestants) will come, and both will ally together to fight against Gabriel. But lo, Michael (our Lord) would come to help him (Gabriel) in verse 21. Q: What does it mean by the coming of Michael to help Gabriel? A: It significantly means that Christ’s work as a Mediator between God and man is done in the Most Holy Place of the heavenly sanctuary in 2015. When He comes out of the Most Holy Place, He will lay off His priestly attire and clothe Himself with His most kingly robe and then the 7 last plagues will be poured out to the wicked (EW 281). We read in Daniel 12:1 – “And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people, and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time; and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.” ERC/July 20, 2013
