Topic :In the name of Jesus Message: Many of us know the phrase “in the name of Jesus”as a matter of fact many of us were born into that name. In our various families during prayers we hear “IN THE NAME OF JESUS”. We just inherited it, we met people using it and so it became a tradition and a recitation to us. For example father bless this food in Jesus name, I cover my going out and my coming in the name of Jesus. Not as if you know what you are saying but because you know that whenever you pray it must end with in the name of Jesus. Without the name of Jesus there is no power anywhere. The reason why you dont get results is because you do not know the power in the name of Jesus. What brings result is the power in the name, not the shouting or the charisma. A lot of us use the name but we do not get result because we do not call it with faith. We fail to recognise the force, the magnitude, the enormity and the power in the name so we call it anyhow. It is only few persons that have encountered the power that is why when they say “in the name of Jesus” it is different from yours. They call the name they have encountered and the name they know and they get results. People have so commonized the name that they can even bear the name. There was even a bar jesus in the scripture and theres a footballer who also bears the name in our time. The question is : in whose name are you praying? Is it in the name of jesus the footballer, bar jesus, or Jesus Christ. Thats not how believers should operate. The name is our staff of authority when we use it,answer should and must come.
