PROPOSED NETWORK STRUCTURE Just need to get a list of people - TopicsExpress

PROPOSED NETWORK STRUCTURE Just need to get a list of people that are interested for now. More instruction will come later when there is a bit more of a solid structure to the program. At this time, think about what youd like to teach. These should be topics that you know very well, not something that youre currently learning yourself. Instructors will be interviewed and vetted by others to be approved to teach. Then youll have your course topic, and will be given instructions and guidelines on standards and quality expectations. Once you are approved as an instructor for a course, NO OTHER PERSON WILL BE ALLOWED TO TEACH THIS COURSE, OR ANY COURSE THAT IS A CLOSE COPY OF IT. You may claim multiple topics and classes, but you may only claim one AFTER your previous course selection has been approved, and completely uploaded in the network. In other words, one project at a time. Courses will follow the standards (organizational and presentational), and would then create their course, setting a price they feel is fair for the course based on the following criteria: 1) How advanced the course is 2) The amount of time completing the course will take (minutes or hours of instruction) 3) How many videos are available in the course 4) The amount of on-going support offered within the course group. As for that last bit mentioned there, the part that will separate LearnVideo.org from other networks of instruction, like for a quick example, Lynda, is that courses can be offered in a subscription format, and instructors can provide ongoing assistence and answers to questions related to their course for everyone who is enrolled in their course. ONLY SUBSCRIBED/PAYING Students can access these private message boards. So for example, if access to your course costs $100 (nice round example), and then support/group class sessions are $20/month, youd be receiving $80 for the course - per student, and then $16/month for each student that wants support. This is, of course, assuming that the network earns 20% commission to insure the smooth operation of the network (not finalized). As more instructors join in, and more students sign up, commission for instructors would increase (thats pretty set in stone). STILL A LOT OF DETAILS TO WORK OUT WITH THIS PROJECT > NOT EXPECTING TO LAUNCH THE SITE UNTIL 2015
