PROVO MUNICIPAL COUNCIL Special Meeting 2:30 PM, Friday, March 14, 2014 Municipal Council Conference Room 351 West Center, Provo, Utah 1. Roll call 2. A vote on selecting a contract related to a Request for Proposal (RFP) of a consultant for the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) second opinion. It is our understanding that two bids have been submitted and that on bid is from the consortium recommended by Council member Santiago for $96K, the other is from another qualified firm for $58K. We are wanting to know why the Special Meeting and why it could not wait until the regularly scheduled council meeting next Tuesday. We have been unable to access any documents online about the scope of the RFP or the submissions. Only the agenda is listed. Usually special meetings are reserved for emergency status. What about this makes it an emergency with less than 24 hours notice?
