PSA. My fellow authors, those of you who are welcome to post your book covers and thus promote your books on my page at any time know who you are. Those of you with whom I have never so much as exchanged a Hello, how are you? message SHOULD know that it is quite rude to spam my page (or anyone elses for that matter) without first asking if its okay. There is a difference between effectively marketing ones work and rudeness. For those of you who dont know, randomly posting your book cover as a comment on a thread on someone elses page is rudeness (especially when it has absolutely nothing to do with the thread you posted on). 1) Ask me before you post your book cover or any other form of advertisement on my page. The whole its better to ask forgiveness than permission thing doesnt fly here. 2) FYI: I do not read books that have profanity or the N-word in the title, naked or all but naked people on the cover or any combination thereof. To post such on my page compounds the rudeness; it screams that the poster clearly doesnt know me at all, let alone well enough to promote their work on my page. Ill make it absolutely clear. Going forward, if anyone spams my page in a similar manner going forward, I will treat it like those e-mails where someone asks for your bank account information so they can move $10,000,000,000 out of their account in their homeland and give you a share. In short, I will delete the post and block the poster. Any questions? No? Ill just sip this tea then- - -.
