PSA: United Airlines I recently ruptured my achilles tendon, just a week before I was set to get on a plane to Canada. One of my first thoughts was Ive gotta cancel my flight, which I promptly did, giving United 4 days to resell the ticket to another passenger. I then followed the instructions provided & had my doctor write a letter stating that he forbid me to fly (because of the injury & medicine). United just emailed and said that they will NOT be refunding my money for the flight. This makes me sick to my stomach. So now I have doctors bills & the cost of the trip (that I didnt get to take) and the airline may very well have sold that seat to another passenger. I will not scream, yell or cuss. I simply ask that you all consider this lack of customer service and understanding the next time you book a trip. Maybe there is another airline that deserves your money.
