PSE crews are working into the night, continuing their around the clock effort to restore damage from days of strong winds that hit the Cascade foothills starting Tuesday morning. Substantial progress was made today and approximately 2,500 customers remain without power as of 8:45 p.m. Since Tuesday, crews have restored power to more than 230,000 PSE customers. Crews are concentrating on smaller lines that feed power to many neighborhoods and homes. This work is often time consuming as crews make individual repairs across widespread and sometimes remote areas. Crews will stay on the job until power is restored to all customers. Most customers will have power restored tonight. However, some customers may be without power through Friday due to the severity of damage to the system. Customers can check pse/outagemap for the latest restoration updates. Additional resources, including crews from Eastern Washington, Oregon and Canada, remain onsite to support PSE crews. To see video and photos of crews repairing the damaged system, check out PSE-TV. Due to the unusually cold temperatures, PSE encourages customers without power to be prepared for their safety and comfort. Never use a charcoal or propane grill indoors, nor use a propane heater or natural gas range as an indoor heating source. For more information, go to pse/safety.
