PTI Call for Protest November 30, 2014 Sajid Ishaq, Central President for Minority Wing PTI said that the present efforts being made by Imran Khan and the members of PTI are for Justice, Transparency and a Corruption Free Society. He said that thousands of representatives of the Religious Minorities belonging to Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Taxila, Nowshera, Charsadda, Kohat, Mardan, Peshawar, Faisalabad, Sheikhu pura, Kasur, Lahore and Hyderabad and Karachi districts are participating in the protest even though they had to cross a considerable number of hurdles in reaching Islamabad. He said that the present struggle has to be made as the past governments have not done anything in this regard. They have only been there to patronize and support their family members. There has never been true democracy exercised by any political party in Pakistan. The ruling parties have always ruled as if Pakistan was their kingdom. As a result there has been no rule of law, no access to justice and not even access to the basic necessities of life to the common man. Sajid Ishaq said that the Minorities have always paid the brunt and have always been on the receiving end whenever the PML-N has come to power as they have been subjected to derogatory and humiliating behaviors due to injustices and lawlessness. However, he added, in the current scenario the minorities as well as the majority is suffering equally as PML-N is only busy in promoting its family interests and preparing his family members for second line command. Sajid Ishaq, the Central President for Minority Wing said that today’s struggle is to highlight the fact that the Pakistani people are now aware that Imran Khan is their voice and he is the only one who can alleviate their miseries in the present day Pakistan. He said that it has been 109 days since the Dharna began and it has not only forced the government to review its performance but has also given awareness to the nation that they should stand up for their rights. He said that PML-N is busy in only doing development work which is a source of personal benefit to them and which promotes their businesses and their under the table deals. Whereas what Pakistan urgently requires is development and reforms in the sectors of education, judiciary, health and police. If one evaluates the progress of the present government in these sectors then one would be forced to admit that the nation is not moving forward but what little we had is also on the verge of deterioration. In comparison to the other provinces, KPK is now moving forward. There is transparency of all activities; the police is independent and there is no political influence of any sort. The Central President for Minorities said that PML-N should realise that it is time to let go of egos and selfish attitudes and to work on concrete policies so that Pakistan may start moving in the right direction. He said that Pakistan needs leaders like Imran Khan so that a true democratic state may be formed where no one is discriminated upon because one is rich or poor or has no influence. Sajid Ishaq said that the Minorities of Pakistan are with Imran Khan as PTI is the only hope which they see for a better Pakistan.
