PUNGENT POINT #1399 – Throughout history it has been very difficult for men to receive that “it is God with whom we have to do” (Heb 4:13), or “to whom we must give account” (NIV), or ‘must render an account” (NRSV). A person who takes God seriously will not have to make himself accountable to his peers. Accountability to God has a significantly greater constraint upon the individual than accountability to men.
