PUNTA GORDA YMCA to hold Safari Party Come and enjoy a hot summer night sipping FireFly Tea at The Charlotte County Family YMCA Safari Party. It’s a fun night of dinner, steak and shrimp and dancing music with performers Tim Goodman and Roseanne Botts. The master of ceremony will be comedian Gid Pool, whom you may have seen at Visani’s or McCurdy’s Comedy Club or when he was featured on the “Today Show.” Honorary chair Sheriff Bill Pummell will present a special thank you to a longtime YMCA Safari Party supporter, Garnette Scholl. Pull out your safari attire and join the fun at the YMCA Safari Party, Aug. 23, at 6 p.m. on beautiful Charlotte Harbor at the Bayfront Center YMCA, 750 W. Retta Esplanade, Punta Gorda. The cost is $50 dollars per person.
