***PUPPY ALERT*** 1 year old stray Butterscotch is down to her last day of life. Tomorrow at noon the shelter plans to euthanize her. Please share and advocate for Butterscotch before it is to late…. A volunteer writes: Meet Butterscotch, a lady thats even sweeter than her namesake!! She is very petite and has the most adorable pouty face. Shortly after her arrival I was eager to meet her, but when I tried, Butterscotch would consider my treats and then hide in the back of her cage. One day she was ready, and the wait was definitely worth it. She was a little shy and timid at first, but almost immediately opened up. When I knelt down she came over with a low tail wag that turned into a whole body wag! She loves to be petted and is very affectionate. Butterscotch is still very quiet in her cage, but sits patiently at the front and keeps her cage very clean (she seems to have housetraining). She loves to play and is very resourceful in entertaining herself with sticks or balls of snow. She walks nicely on the leash, but occasionally has little zoomie-like bursts of excitement - looking back often as if to say Isnt it grand that were together??
