PUT YOUR BEST FOOT FORWARD AND RAMBLE FOR RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS The National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society (NRAS) will be hosting its first ever walking event, ‘The RAmble’, at Spetchley Park in Spetchley, Worcester on Saturday 21st June at 11am in order to raise awareness of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) during RA Awareness Week. The event will mark the end of RA Awareness Week, which begins on 16th June, and this year’s theme is ‘Invisible Disease’ so it is important that people are involved to make rheumatoid arthritis visible! There are three routes to choose from, one around the gardens (which is suitable for wheelchairs), a one mile walk and a five mile walk. Following the event, each walker will be presented with a certificate and a free goody bag and can then take a well deserved rest. NRAS t-shirts will be provided to walk in to ensure that the walkers are making RA visible. Walkers are encouraged to bring friends and family along to cheer them on. Entry is £10, children under 13 are free. Places are still available so to enter please visit the NRAS website at nras.org.uk/RAmble. All proceeds will be going to the National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society to support those with rheumatoid arthritis, their families, friends and carers. For more information, email Val at [email protected] or call 01628 501547.
