Paa Kofi’s daily devotional Thursday January 8, 2015 Topic: Be still Pt2 Key text. Exodus 14:13-14 But Moses told the people, “Don’t be afraid. Just stand still and watch the LORD rescue you today. The Egyptians you see today will never be seen again. 14 The LORD himself will fight for you. Just stay calm.” What do you do when youve done all you can and it seems like its never enough? Tell me, what do you give when youve given your all and it seems like you cant make it through? Well, you just stand when theres nothing left to do. You just stand, watch the Lord see you through Yes, after youve done all you can, You just stand. What are you going through today? Have you exhausted all your plans? Are you confused of what to do next? Maybe you are at the bank of your red sea. Be encouraged, fear not, stand still, and see what God can do. God didn’t deliver His people from slavery only to drown them when they were cornered. And God didn’t save you only to forget about you now. God will make a way where there seems to be no way. He works in ways we cannot see. He will make a way for you. He will be your guide, hold you closely to his side. In love and strength for each new day, He will make a way. He will make a way. What to do In the midst of trial, when there seems to be no way. 1. Don’t panic for fear only multiplies problems (Exodus 14:10-12): Panic makes you lose your mind. 2. Trust the Lord and be still (Exodus 14:13-14) a. Refuse to submit to fear and intimidation of the enemy (14:13) b. Stop, look up to the Lord, and gain His perspective (14:13) c. Let the Lord handle it and defend you (14:14) As long as you fight for yourself, the Lord will not do anything for you. God bless you. Remember to stand still, and God will turn things around for your good
