Pacifca Tribune has a long story on the GGNRA dog plan. I make no bones that I am for continued access that is adequate and reasonable for dog owners. And I strongly support mixed use and conservation of native and protected species. But the quotes by GGNRA in this story are troubling. Community leaders in every city from Montara to Muir Beach have been critical of the plan. And for the GGNRA to keep positioning it as balanced and changed in response to community input is ludicrous. The leading newspapers (Chronicle, Examiner, Mercury News) this past week have all had highly critical stories of the GGNRA plan that ostensibly was revised in response to community input. This is not some media mirage, people are outraged and its not a fringe minority. Instead of entrenching farther why isnt the GGNRA calling meetings to begin constructive solutions that are going to require changes to the plan?
