Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat DIRECTOR STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS COORDINATION PROGRAMME An exciting opportunity exists for a Director to manage the Strategic Partnerships & Coordination Programme of the Secretariat. Reporting to the Deputy Secretary General (Strategic Partnerships & Coordination / Corporate Services) the Director will be responsible for providing leadership to and managing the Strategic Partnerships and Coordination Programme. Responsibilities will include (but not limited to): · Team performance and leadership of the Strategic Partnerships and Coordination Programme; · Support to the Secretary General; · Policy Advice; · Management and coordination of high-level meetings and political relations with members, associate members, observers, territories and external partners; and · Financial management and continuous improvement. Applicants should have a Post-graduate qualifications in Development Studies, Economics, International Relations or similar with at least 10 years relevant work experience and a sound knowledge of regional developmental issues and experience in leading and managing teams and with demonstrated ability to provide high quality advice at the highest levels and experience in management decision making in a systematic, rational and consistent way. Applicants should be willing to travel economy class. The salary will be in the range of SDR52,640 to SDR77,460 per annum. At the current exchange rate this salary range is equivalent to FJD149,972 to FJD220,684.
