In this class students will develop and experience capturing their unique of-the-moment visual narrative in a painting. Learn how to select your own color sense and composition perspective through your experience of your selected subject via illuminated memory. He will teach how to move through a direct to a symbolic representation following your interior voice and selected methods of style. In this course you will learn and experience how to use color, texture, form, and shape as tools to create your reflected reactions of the scene or a moment, leaving behind literalness. Students will have a review of how to effectively use preparatory sketches and studies as idea generators and experiment with wash drawing in their selected media. There will be demonstrations, lectures and one-on-one attention.
