Palace look set to have a busy deadline day as the Eagles are expected to bring in at least three players with deals for Blackburn’s Scott Dann, Celtic’s Joe Ledley and Wolves’ Wayne Hennessey while Tom Ince’s move to Tony Pulis’ side looks like it may be on the rocks. The South London side had been linked to Blackburn’s central defender, Dann earlier in the window and looked to have missed out after Blackburn rejected their original £1.3m offer but it’s understood that Dann is in advance talks with Palace. Blackburn are still digging in their heels over the transfer fee. Celtic’s Joe Ledley, who had refused all offers of a contract extension from the Scottish giants, is on his way to SE25 after a £2.5m fee was agreed for the Welsh midfielder. Pulis is also desperate to bring in Wolves keeper Wayne Hennessey to provide real competition for number one Julian Speroni after the Eagles’ new manager was unimpressed by Palace’s back up custodians Lewis Price and Neil Alexander. However, the more troubling news out of South London is that Tom Ince’s loan move from Blackpool may have hit a snag as it’s suggested that Stoke have trumped Palace’s £1m loan fee for the England U21 starlet at the 11th hour. Palace had freed up a loan space in the side by signing Southampton Jason Puncheon on a permanent deal for around £1.7m, after the winger had impressed since his temporary move from Southampton. While Palace are still in pole position for Ince, losing out on him may see Tony Pulis turn back to Brighton’s Will Buckley. The Eagles were widely tipped to be one of the busiest clubs on deadline day as the relegation threatened side had been extremely quiet compared to their relegation rivals.
