Parental Alienation (emotional abuse) Prevention Week: Alienation awareness 101: Did you know? 1. An obsessed alienator cannot be successful without assistance from another source/enabler (one who enables another to persist in self-destructive behavior). 2. There are at least 3 ingredients for a successful parental alienation (parental interference, hostile or selfish parenting, pathological triangle) campaign: 1) a bitter parent, 2) an innocent child, and 3) enabler. 3. The enabling source could be: mothers, fathers, stepparents, relatives, best friends of the parent, the parents attorney, a therapist, courts, school teachers, sports coaches, and even babysitters, etc... 4. There is no question that [alienation] is a form of child abuse. 5. One of the common practices by the obsessed alienator is their desire for the court to punish the other parent with court orders that would interfere or block the targeted parent from seeing their children. This confirms in the alienators mind that he or she was right all the time. 6. Solution/Remedy: In the case of the obsessed alienator, no treatment exists other than removing the child from their influence.
