Parenting support group ~~ Is anyone interested here in Elko on parenting interaction. We will be encouraging foster parents to grandparents as well to join. I will see what we can do about child care. We will more of a support group sharing ideas and support with hard issues. We will have speakers of all types that deal in many different categories. We will be Christian based but all are welcome nothing will interrupt of offend any faith or way of thinking. We will be encouraging fathers and grandfathers and uncles and older siblings that care for a child to also attend when possible. Again this is more a support group not one of us is a COMPLETE SPECIALIST in child raising ( who is anyhow) Weekly I will be going to one on one working with child & family counselor to help with knowledge and ideas but everything is based on experience each person in the groups has had and mastered or want to master if that is possible lol. We have to remain total support and confidential at all times. These are 100% free no medical advice or medication suggestions for a child can be given at anytime. We will as far as I am aware at this point have a lic social worker that you are going to be able to ask questions to once a month at least. I am working on a counselor also once a month being present. We will tackle support in areas such as even child suicide and will have someone from their coalition that week to be open to our support for things to watch for ect. AGAIN THIS IS 100% SUPPORT!!! We will have a FB group started that where you will sign up for interest in live support. Were on bottom ground still with this so the support group will not start until a future date of March 7th 2015. It will start online sooner then that.
