Parents, Uncles/Aunties or anyone who has a conversation with a child: Instead of asking them “What do you want to be when you grow up?” ....which will yield probably the similar answers of “doctor, lawyer, policeman, teacher, pilot, nurse etc”, how about asking this question instead? “What problems do you want to solve for the world?” Sure...therell most likely be a pause and questioning look.... then watch them think, start being creative, do research (on the internet, where else!) and getting inspired.... and maybe.....develop towards being entrepreneurs or intrapreneurs one day....WIN-WIN-WIN! Note: They can still be employees if they choose to :) *This notion was raised by Vishen Lakhiani, who spoke on stage over the weekend at the launch of the Malaysian Global Innovation and Creative Center (MaGIC). Najib & Obama officially opened the centre.
