Park Avenue Numismatics, Miami Beach, FL – May 12, 2014 – Gold prices on Monday looked set to end a four session decline, finding support once again from turmoil in Ukraine after a weekend referendum on the secession of regions in the eastern part of the country threatened to increase tensions between the West and Russia. Pro-Russian separatists declared victory in Sunday’s recession referendums, contributing to rising tensions as Moscow appeared to challenge assertions by Western powers and Kiev that the vote was illegitimate. Gold rose as high as $10.80 to $1,298.40 an ounce after tapping a high of $1,304.50. Silver rose 48 cents to $19.60 an ounce. To learn more about Rare Coins and precious metals, go to parkavenumis.
