Part 2. Not man, but Gods Spirit convicts. One of the nicest things that God has given to us, the conviction, certainty, by the Holy Spirit. How many people doubt Their salvation? However, the Holy Spirit testifies together with our spirit That we are Gods child, Romans 8 verse 16, The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God. Wait, if we can explain to someone the gospel, but he or she does not believe us then we can quietly praying and waiting, full of confidence. We do not need to force the gospel. Gods Word is like a heavenly seed, which is placed in a persons mind, until it can germinate. Gods Word will not return void : So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth : it shall not return unto me void , but it shall accomplish that which I please , and it shall prosper in the things whereto I sent it , Isaiah 55 verse 11 . The majority of the Jews did not believe in the Lord Jesus, but when it was poured out the Holy Spirit, were 3,000 people, hit, deep in their hearts, and convinced of the truth. For three years, Israel had seen large forces, and signs, but they had not brought them to faith in Christ. But the Holy Spirit would convince them that they had slain , by their unbelief , their promised Messiah. He convinced them of sin, because they do not believe in me. Therefore, the disciples had to wait, Acts 1 verses 4 to 8, at the Holy Spirit. Then came those, 3,000 people were convicted of their sin, and called for conservation, Acts 2 verses 37 and 38. Only then, did germinate the seed that was sown, (by) the Sower. We go to the Spirit of inner security. The Holy Spirit convinces, also children of God, that they have been part of Gods righteousness, and so they no longer need to look to themselves. As long as youre looking for that, to yourself, you remain a wretched man, still searching, for salvation. However, the new man is created by God, in true righteousness and holiness : And be renewed in the spirit of your mind : And that ye put on the new man , which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness , Ephesians 4 verses 23 and 24 . And the Holy Spirit renews our minds, and convinces us that has gone beyond the old, and has come, the new. For us, and in us. And, this is, all, of God. When was on earth, the Lord Jesus saw His disciples, Gods righteousness, Gods love, truth, and grace in Him . Not in itself. But Christ would take his account of their old life, and nailing it to the cross. He would get up in a new life, and they would receive that life from Him. Everything from Him! Colossians 2 verses 9 and 10 : For in Him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily . And ye are complete in Him , which is the head of all principality and power . The seed within us, is going to grow, by the Spirit of God , and the world does not see it, but we should thank Him for His Spirit within us : Even the Spirit of truth ; whom the world cannot recieve , because it seeth Him not , neither knoweth him ; but ye know him ; for he dwelleth with you and shall be in you ! John 14 verse 17 . Amen !
