Part Four:Why did Allah make some people ugly, and others so - TopicsExpress

Part Four:Why did Allah make some people ugly, and others so beautiful? Salaams to all, what does the story of Julaybeeb (RAD) have to do with the original question? in the case of Julaybib (RAD), Rasullullah (SAW) personally chose that girl for him. if he(SAW) had not done so, and the girl and her parents refused Julaybibs(RAD)proposal because their daughter did NOT find him attractive, i dont think that it would be against Shariah. in the story, the point was obedience to the command of Allahs Rasul(SAW) despite it being somewhat against the nafs. why did Allah taala make some people ugly? thats what you people should respond to . we all know that Allah taala does NOT look towards our outer appearance but people do. n we are living amongst people & we will marry another person etc.. all of you who say that not being physically attractive/beautiful does not matter, are LIARS. just maybe, you are one of those few people who lead a very sheltered life and dont know what the real world is like. people with darker skin & unattractive features have a harder time than those who are physicall yattractive & have fairer skin as well. i see it amongst ALL races: Black Africans, Indo-Pak, white Westerners, Arabs etc. Yes, even black Africans prefer fair skin & more anglo features over those that are common to their race. nobody is saying that how you are treated by others is a sign of the rank/status you hold in the eyes of Allah taala. but dont act as if beauty or lack thereof does not affect how you are treated by others. beauty is in the eye of the beholder black is beautiful these are lame decfence mechanisms you do get the exceptions like Laila & Majnoon but for the rest of us it does not work that way- you are jugded by your outer appearance. OF COURSE- Money helps to change all that- you can one of those faces only a mother could love & you will still be very popular. my view is that physical beauty is a nemah of Allah taala & he has NOT bestowed it upon everyone. but this hurts much more than if you were poor or even stupid- therefore people try to find all sorts of justifications/explanations for this. as the original poster said, i also know that im not handsome by any standard- Alhamdulillah i have a very good body/build but as for my facial features... being dark as well does not help at all. its almost funny that those with fair skin who say skin colour does not matter, would NEVER want to trade their colour/complexion & features for something much darker & not attractive by the standard of the vast majority of people. and then you have african/black people who find it very insulting when you talk on this as it hurts. thats understandable but it again just goes to show that its true- thats why it hurts so much. i think this is one subject that ive posted the most on & received the most infractions for. i get really angry when anyone says im handsome/good looking (yes, its happened)- why lie?Its more insulting than telling me Im plain ugly. and Allah taala knows best Jazakallah
