Part of the Arrogance of Human nature:..is to think that we know more than others do: the first letter of John apostle of Christ addresses this problem; of false teachers who were making lofty claims about their knowledge regarding the Deity and Nature of Christ.. John counters their false claims by reminding his readers of the eye witness accounts; including himself.. First I want to say that the false teachers were called Gnostics, OK!.. that believed in Eastern Mysticism and Greek dualism( which teaches that the spirit is completely good, but matter is completely evil..) Jesus Christ came in the human flesh; lived a human life, died, and was raised from the dead.. He was fully human and fully God.. All else being taught in contrast was false teachings.. John in his letter demonstrate Truth in Love, and this Love would lead to eternal life...
