Party 4 Parkside ! Part of the fundraising effort for the new Parkside Hall in Ampthill, Kirsty Bourne (from the Oracle) and Margie are organising just that – and we would love you all to come and bring your friends. The party will be in a marquee at the cricket club in Ampthill on Friday 11th October from 8.00pm to 12.00am. There will be a bar, a curry and live music (we have two great acts lined up) and a disco. Tickets will cost just £20.00 and it is all a short walk from the centre of town. What more could you want on a Friday night? (well I have asked - but Brad Pitt is not available!) Dress code is whatever PARTY means to you - wear what you like, dress up or down – but bring your friends for some good company, a drink or several and a boogie to your favourite tunes. If you email me your favourite party track I will get it on the play list for you. There won’t be an auction – so breathe a sigh of relief that you won’t have an hour of sitting patiently when you could be dancing. There will be a raffle though – but great prizes including a bread maker and various goodies from Fortnum and Masons. Please come along and have some fun with us to make sure Ampthill gets the great venue it should have had years ago. Tickets will be ready by the middle of this coming week and will be available from the Stationery Boutique on Dunstable St, Ampthill Town Council offices and from either me or Kirsty. Do please let me know how many you would like and I will reserve them for you. Pay cash or write cheques to ‘Parkside Hall 2 account’. If anyone would like to volunteer to take say 10 tickets off me and sell them then that would be even better! Do spread the word – we have 200 tickets available and just over 3 weeks to sell them.
