Passing the word that Ed Godfrey passed on a few weeks ago...Im just finding this out. Ed, who was Lakota/Dakota, was one of the first dancers to befriend me when I first started dancing. Ed was quoted as saying: The getting high from being out there dancing to a good traditional song, you know that feeling that you have, is a true type of feeling thats an experience for you that isnt artificially induced. Those words have deep meaning today. So many dancers smoking weed, because its socially acceptable, and dancing on a buzz. Dont need that because dancing is a natural high. And thats something I learned from Ed.
