Past Innovation Contest winner Highlight: September 2012. Simple Electric Bicycle The Electric Bicycle is a motorized homemade bicycle capable of 35km/h speeds. Built as a response to expensive public transportation fees. The inventor’s goal is to build a plain, simple and cheap electric bicycle. Its design simple enough to be replicable by anyone. Made possible by the use of high standard bearings in the electric motor, in order to reduce friction, as well as a multitude of bearings in the bicycle itself. Though ingenious, the Simple Electric Bicycle is only one of many entrants in the Innovation Contest.
