The Church celebrates Advent as a season of hope. We look back at how folks in Old Testament times waited for the Messiah, how those hopes were met in Christ, and how we look forward to Jesus coming again. Advent is about hope, and there is room in the inns of our lives for hope. We experience fallen humanity in everything from world events to personal relationships. We have room for hope. Enter Advent. Let Old Testament promises bring you real hope. “Arise… your light has come” (Isaiah 60:1). Allow well-known New Testament words to soak in. “Today… a Savior has been born to you” (Luke 2:11). And let these hopes define this season, and you. “We have this hope as an anchor for the soul” (Hebrews 6:19). #RDKAdvent
