Pastor Garners message entitled The Cost (from the series The Path) centered on the cost of being a Disciple from Matthew 16:24 (NIV) - Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me. Deny means to say no to. We must humbly submit our will to God, repeating Jesus words, not my will but yours be done. As Jesus denied Himself, we too must follow His example. To take up my cross means that I must die to myself realizing that following Jesus costs me something. The cross is the symbol of; HUMILIATION SUFFERING DEATH
