Pastor’s Moment: One of the most intriguing images of Love is Cupid. Having grown up in the village like some of you, I did not interact with Cupid until much later when I learnt about Love. Cupid is always holding an arrow, placed on a greatly designed bow and is ready to shoot any victim who crosses – The arrow aims at the heart. I question that imagery many times, if a heart is pierced straight by an arrow, does it not mean instant death? Look the Image we see of love after cupid is a red love heart, with an arrow right through it – please notice in that imagery the heart is not bleeding. Okay I will not go to what I think, but those two images tell all about our love for one another and the Love for God. The pin of the arrow piercing through you is those hardships and hurdles you must jump as you refine and grow your love. It does not matter the pain or the outcome the best lovers place their own hearts in an arrows way, ready to bear consequences of something that is ultimately beautiful. Cupid always has an arrow on the ready, holding and aiming, in the same way, always pray even if you have nothing to say. Always smile at her/him, even when you have no words to say. Text them saying I love you and have a beautiful day after praying for them. There is a quote I love and I leave it with you, “Find those arms that will hold you tightly during your weakest moments. Find those eyes that will see the true beauty in you, even during those ugly times in your life and find a heart that will love you, even when you are at your worst.” - Find that in fellow humans and in God. Life is beautiful. Love is something that you do not have to postpone, enjoy it now. God is Love. Love is a superlative without measure. God Bless You, Shine His Love Upon You and Keep You
