Some might say that she was foolhardy in helping allied soldiers to escape the Germans and that she also compromised her neutrality by it, but for me she is a great British heroin who well deserves being better known. There is a statue to her opposite the National Portrait Gallery here in London and I have often visited her grave just by the walls of Norwich Cathedral. Of course she is a tremendous example too of a woman of real guts, against whom some examples these days fade to insignificance, good though they may be in themselves. I think the Church of England probably commemorates her memory in her official calendar of saints and similar notables as well. It would be wonderful and most well deserved to see her picture on £ 2 coins. So I can heartily encourage everyone to support this petition. Please also tell you children about her. Memory eternal to her !
