Pattan incident : Police Press Release to Sachnews Jammu Kashmir: Baramulla- 08 June: Pattan Police has taken cognizance of an incident of stone pelting on a house at Takia Tappar after a party resorted to stone pelting during settlement of a matrimonial dispute. A lady daughter of Abdul Rashid Itoo resident of Goshbug was wedded to Javaid Ahmad Ganaie son of Ghulam Mohammad resident of Takia Tapper in August 2013. There was a matrimonial dispute between the husband and the wife. Last evening the respectables from both the parties had come to the residential house of Ghulam Mohammad at Takia Tapper to settle the matrimonial issue which finalized into a divorce. During the settlement the relatives of the bride got agitated and started pelting stones on the residential house of Ghulam Mohammad resulting in damage to the window panes and glasses of the house. They also tried to snatch the bike (Jk05D-6293) Later police intervened and restored the order. A case FIR number 106/2014 under section 47, 148, 427, 447, 336,379/RPC was registered in Police Station Pattan and investigation has been taken up.
